K4Health eToolkit Application
We encourage organizations to join K4Health's network of partners to improve access to health information in developing countries. Through our unique eToolkit Application, K4Health has provided support to our 60 partner organizations to develop and publish 30 K4Health eToolkits to date on a wide range of health topics—from family planning/reproductive health and HIV/AIDS to mHealth and gender. We continue to diversify our collaborative partnerships to expand into other topics, such as maternal and child health and cross-cutting technical areas such as leadership and management. To learn more about our toolkits or to suggest new topics, contact the team at .
Our eToolkit Application allows subject matter experts to develop online toolkits without the need for specialized IT skills. This easy-to-use Web-based software functions as a:
- Private work space. In a password-protected environment, invited members of a toolkit working group see the toolkit in its online format as it is being developed and can add content to it themselves.
- Collaborative tool. Working group members share information interactively using a series of Web 2.0 collaboration features, including commenting and audio, video, and text-chatting tools.
- Publishing tool. Once the toolkit developers decide that the toolkit is ready for public viewing, K4Health can quickly remove the password protection so that any Internet user can view it.
